The Second UN Global Conference On Sustainable Transport Has Opened in Beijing

The second United Nations Global Conference on Sustainable Transportation has officially opened at the National Convention Center in Beijing. The conference is hosted by the United Nations and co-hosted by the Ministry of Transport, PRC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PRC and the Beijing Municipal People's Government.

The theme of the conference is "Sustainable Transport, Sustainable Development", focusing on 9 topics including sustainable transport and poverty reduction, people's livelihood, international connectivity cooperation, green development, regional development, innovative development, security development, sustainable city, and government governance. At the same time, the important role of ensuring the smooth flow of international transportation in promoting global economic recovery should be appropriately added.
