General Motors: Double Revenue To $280 Billion By 2030
At a recent investor meeting, GM said it plans to double its annual sales to $280bn by 2030, diversifying away from selling cars and trucks as it shifts to all-electric vehicles.
Gm also expects to increase its operating margin to 12-14 percent by 2030, through its traditional automotive business and new software and data businesses.
Gm said its traditional car sales and financing business would grow from $138bn a year to $195bn - $235bn. The company's new businesses, such as its self-driving car subsidiary Cruise and its BrightDrop commercial electric vehicle business, are targeted to grow from $2 billion to $80 billion in that time.
