CBIES AUTOMOTIVE|Design Of Steel Wire For Automobile Seat Cushion Frame

Dec 21, 2022

The car seat is a relatively important and key part of the car, and as the supporting structure inside the car seat - the car seat frame is the foundation of the seat. Therefore, the quality and performance of the steel wire used for the seat frame have a direct impact on the seat frame.

The car seat is an important part of the car interior system, and its quality directly affects the dynamic comfort of the driver and passengers. Therefore, the design and optimization of car seats have received widespread attention. CBIES AUTOMOTIVE is a professional auto parts export enterprise. Its main business includes but is not limited to seat pipes, as well as various pipe products such as bumpers, shock absorbers, exhaust pipes, and instrument beam pipes. Next, CBIES will briefly explain its design to you.

Classification of steel pipes: According to the manufacturing process, steel pipes are divided into seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes. Welded steel pipes are commonly used on car seat frames, and there are straight welds on the steel pipes.

common processing methods for steel pipes:

A. Bending process:

Bending refers to the bending process of pipes on vertical or horizontal bending machines using bending dies, clamping blocks, pressing blocks, anti-wrinkle blocks, mandrels, and other devices.

B. Compression bending

The bending process is a processing method in which the steel pipe is placed on the pendulum block, and the mold is used to exert lateral pressure on the pipe, so as to achieve the purpose of bending and forming.

C.push bend

The push-bending process refers to a pipe-forming method that uses a mold on a press to press along the axial direction of the pipe to push and bend it.

D.roll bend

roll bending process refers to the method of forming pipes using three driving rollers on the roll bender. Roll bending is only suitable for thick-walled tubing that requires a large radius of curvature.

Dimensional Limits for Fitting Construction

A.Minimum bending radius

The minimum bending radius of the pipe fittings is shown in the figure, which is generally more than twice the outer diameter of the steel pipe.

B.straight line length

If they are in the same plane, the adjacent bending distance is 1.5 times the pipe diameter; if not in the same plane, the distance is 2 times the pipe diameter. The pipe ends should be at least 1.5 times the diameter of the pipe.

C. The minimum punch size for round tubes depends on the wall thickness. 3 times wall thickness minimum, 5 times wall thickness recommended

D. The minimum aperture of the crushed area is three times the thickness of the crushed area (for example, if the wall thickness is 1.5mm and the thickness of the crushed area is 3.0mm, the minimum aperture is 9mm).

E. The local maximum press-in depth of the backrest pipe is 0.5 times the pipe diameter.

F. The gap between the overlapping areas is 0.5-1.0mm, and the minimum welding space size is 3mm.
